Driving Sustainability Through Strategic Partnerships with Michael Sharpe

Driving Sustainability Through Strategic Partnerships with Michael Sharpe

At Ryse Solutions, partnerships are more than just business relationships - they’re the foundation for building a more sustainable future. Michael Sharpe, our Director of Partnerships, brings over 30 years of experience in sales and business development to his role, helping Ontario producers navigate complex regulations and unlock sustainability wins.

Sales Expertise Meets Sustainability Strategy

Michael’s background in structured sales, training, and strategic direction has shaped his approach to partnership management. “It’s about understanding the uniqueness of each producer,” he explains. “We take the time to learn their regulatory obligations and tailor conversations that are transparent and customized to their needs.”

By aligning with Ryse’s corporate brand and values, Michael ensures every engagement reflects our commitment to responsible recycling and community impact.

Sustainability Is Now a Core Strategy

Across Ontario, small and mid-sized businesses are shifting sustainability from a “nice-to-have” to a strategic priority. Ryse Solutions supports this transition by helping producers understand their obligations and offering advisory resources when needed. “We’re seeing more companies use AI technology, and data analytics, to connect sustainability with performance,” says Michael. “Our portal and CRM systems help track progress and provide measurable insights.”

A Vision for the Future of Partnerships

Looking ahead, Michael envisions Ryse becoming an extension of our producers’ ERP and sustainability teams. “We want to co-create solutions that align with their corporate goals,” he says. With advanced technology and real-time performance tracking, Ryse is positioned to lead the way in producer responsibility and circular economy innovation.

Beyond the Office

When he’s not building partnerships, Michael enjoys cheering on Toronto sports teams, hitting the gym, hiking trails, and spending time with his new puppy, Bailey.
